EXPERIENTIAL THERAPY

Taught and supervised on-site by Neil Trusso, Experiential Therapy offers valuable lessons about teamwork, trust, mutual respect and acute physical awareness that our residents will find to be priceless assets in their new, clean and sober lives.

Experiential Therapy can be defined as any activity that enables the participants to reconnect with and renew their appreciation for the world around them, to enjoy the now.

The men who walk through our doors at THR are men whose addictive journeys have stolen their vigor, their lust for life and their enthusiasm for the full enjoyment of life’s ideal natural gifts and adventures.

At THR, our chosen team of Experiential Therapists all share a contagious enthusiasm for life and reality. Under the strong leadership of our Physical Empowerment Director, Neil Trusso, a former US Navy SEAL team member, they have crafted an innovative slate of activities designed to reintroduce our residents to the splendors of our natural environment…to live in the moment and to fully enjoy the experience at hand.

While we understand that any one of our Experiential Therapy activities might prove to be life-altering for some of our residents, we are especially proud of our Surf Passage Boat Drills component. Taught and supervised on-site by Neil Trusso, these safe and fun exercises offer valuable lessons about teamwork, trust, mutual respect and acute physical awareness that our residents will find to be priceless assets in their new, clean and sober lives.
