FITNESS THERAPY

Fitness Therapy is a daily regiment of physical awareness, challenges and discovery that is designed, in gradual stages, to enable our residents to experience a renewed sense of individual and team accomplishments, a heightened level of wellness and an overall rebirth of self-esteem.

 

The Fitness Therapy component of the Tree House Recovery Program is a daily regiment of physical awareness, challenges and discovery that is designed, in gradual stages, to enable our residents to experience a renewed sense of individual and team accomplishments, a heightened level of wellness and an overall rebirth of self-esteem.

The professionals of the Physical Empowerment staff at THR fully understand and appreciate the fact that the men coming through our doors have, while in the tangled/twisted embrace of addictions, become strangers to their own physical well being. In fact, a solid argument could be made that the total absence of physical health and wellness was a strong contributor in making them psychologically vulnerable to the world of addictions.

It is the dedicated mission of our Fitness Therapy team at THR, while working closely with our Yoga and Nutrition elements, to lead our residents on their journey back to physical health and fitness, to support them as they savor daily victories and to provide them with valuable behaviors that will sustain them long after they graduate from THR.
